Thunder Legion Puppet Theatre (Sketch)

"Ladies and gentlemen, kids of all ages! We are proud to present the greatest show in the land of Fiore, and you will be intrigued by the story and the action you will see before your very eyes! Put your hands together for the Thunder Legion's marionette showcase of The Melodious Princess!!"

Laxus and the Thunder Legion put on a marionette performance, with the puppets of the heroes on hand and Ariella as their leading lady: a princess. The ribbons that are tied onto her wrists refer to her as a marionette, and she is under the control of whoever pulls her strings. In the show, Laxus plays as a king who rules over a dark kingdom and wants the princess (Ari) for himself. Freed, on the other hand, portrays as a prince who will rescue her from the king's clutches. Bickslow's role is a harlequin who entertains the audience with his acrobatics (and serves the king loyally), and Evergreen works with some other Fairy Tail wizards to control the puppets (including Ari). She also does the hair and makeup for her.

Puppets of each character in the hands of the foursome are:
Bickslow - Gray Fullbuster
Freed - Mirajane Strauss
Laxus - Natsu Dragneel
Evergreen - Erza Scarlet
The puppets of Happy, Elfman Strauss, Gajeel Redfox and Lucy Heartfilia are simply optional puppets for them to use.

I looked at an illustration from my Chobits Art Book and it gave me the inspiration to sketch this piece. When I make some adjustments, I will color it in and move this sketch to scraps. I love their costumes, though; my favorites of them are Ari's and Evergreen's. The design for Bickslow's costume is based off of Harley Quinn's classic outfit from the Batman series.
